Description

Are you an experienced electrical technician with a passion for precision engineering and high-performance environments? Join our team at our state-of-the-art Silverstone facility and play a key role in producing the wiring harnesses, electrical assemblies, sensors and electronic units that power our race cars and test systems.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work at the heart of elite motorsport, supporting race-critical systems and contributing directly to on-car performance, reliability and innovation.

As an Electrical Technician, you'll be involved in the full lifecycle of electrical component production-from prototype build and manufacturing to servicing and repair. You'll support both race-car installations and the factory test rigs that keep our engineering programmes running at peak capability.

You'll work closely with the Electronics Department, Car Build, Race Team, R&D and other production groups to ensure every component meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing high-quality wiring harness assemblies following production documentation.
  • Inspecting assemblies during build to ensure compliance, accuracy and consistency.
  • Conducting Cirris electrical testing on harnesses post-build or post-service.
  • Servicing harnesses after use, including cleaning, inspection, damage reporting and repair support.
  • Producing harnesses for test rigs, support equipment and factory systems.
  • Terminating cables and fitting connectors to sensors, actuators and assemblies.
  • Creating mock-ups of harnesses and capturing dimensions for sketches/drawings.
  • Contributing to updates of manufacturing processes and documentation.
  • Supporting car build and freight pack-up as required.
  • Supporting on-car testing, troubleshooting and fault investigation.
  • Assisting with installation and commissioning of test rigs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all manufactured and serviced parts.
  • Providing general support for production, testing and calibration activities across the Electronics department.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Previous experience of wiring harness prototyping/manufacture experience.
  • Previous experience in motorsport or a similar high-pressure engineering environment.
  • Experience using harness test equipment-Cirris experience preferred.
  • Ability to assemble/rework electrical components, panels, rigs, motors and related systems.
  • Surface-mount PCB assembly experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience calibrating/servicing sensors and actuators.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Flexibility, reliability and a team-oriented attitude.
