Job Responsibilities
- Perform welding and grinding activities in accordance with SLB welding procedures and quality standards.
- Read and interpret drawings and work instructions as required for each job.
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment as applicable.
- Conduct pre-use inspections of tools and equipment before starting work.
- Set up and position materials using appropriate tooling and equipment.
- Support material handling activities, including the use of forklifts and cranes.
- Follow all QHSE policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Communicate safety, process, and efficiency improvement opportunities within the shop.
- Work collaboratively with other welders and shop personnel.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- B-Pressure certification (required).
- Previous welding experience in a shop or industrial environment is considered an asset.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is considered an asset (training can be provided).
- Ability to work in a physically demanding shop environment.
- Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and quality.
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
