Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain electronic and instrumentation equipment (sensors, transmitters, control valves, PLC/DCS systems) in offshore environments.
- Perform calibration and preventive maintenance of instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level devices.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electronic circuits, control loops, and instrumentation systems under offshore operating conditions.
- Interpret and update electrical/instrumentation drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
- Support shutdowns, commissioning, and plant upgrades in collaboration with electrical and mechanical teams.
- Ensure compliance with offshore safety standards, ISO/IEC codes, and company HSE policies.
- Document calibration, maintenance, and repair activities for audit and compliance purposes.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma/Certificate in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum [X] years of offshore experience in oil & gas, shipyard, or marine environments.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA/DCS systems, and field instrumentation.
- Knowledge of vendor-specific systems (e.g., Yokogawa, Emerson, Honeywell).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in offshore conditions.
- Familiarity with calibration tools and software.
Skills
- Offshore survival certification (BOSIET/FOET).
- H2S awareness and offshore medical fitness certification.
- Experience with SAP/ERP systems for maintenance documentation.
