As a Plug and Abandonment Technician II at Weatherford, you'll perform hands-on tasks utilizing specialized equipment, machinery, and systems in the oil and gas industry. This role requires applying technical knowledge and following established procedures to complete assignments safely and efficiently. You'll work directly with Weatherford's equipment at rig sites, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality while potentially advancing to leadership positions with experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Uphold Weatherford's core values of safety, security, and environmental protection while complying with all company policies and regulations
• Perform functional tests, inspections, and monitoring specialized oil field equipment
• Clean, lubricate, repair, and operate equipment according to specific work instructions
• Conduct equipment assembly/disassembly, pressure testing, and visual inspections
• Rig up/down equipment at well sites
• Inspect parts using measuring instruments to determine dimensional requirements
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
• Actively engage in personal career development and training opportunities

Skills / Education

• High School Diploma
• 1-2½ years in the Oil & Gas industry
• Equipment maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and monitoring
• Basic mathematics, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management
• Ability to meet the physical demands of field
