Synopsis

Ensure efficiency in operations executing various electrical servicing duties as per specific guidelines. These include fault diagnosis; major repair rectification and overhauling of organization's fleet of special propose aircraft ground support and handling equipment in line with set standards and guidelines

Accountabilities

• Receive inputs (verbal or written) on the daily activity schedule and execute work accordingly. This includes obtaining necessary parts / effects required for maintenance and servicing aircraft ground support equipment, heavy duty vehicles as per set standards
• Key point of contact to execute end to end unscheduled maintenance activities; these include receipt of job card, obtaining required spares, undertake repair, disassembling engine, removing components, overhauling minor and major assemblies in the workshop, testing to required specifications and reassembling
• Ensure operating and safety procedures of various equipment are adherence to; this included physical involvement in repair and overhaul of equipment, engines and components
• Conduct physical testing of equipment and vehicle after servicing.
• Coordinate with seniors (foreman) post completion of tasks assigned and provide updates to ensure timely updating of systems (inform seniors post completion of tasks, who will close the job cards post review of work)
• Ensure technical, safety and security standards are met through preparation for regular monitoring and surprise checks
• Ensure testing of equipment as per rated specification / performance details on all "fleet vehicles, aircraft ground support equipment, standard vehicle D.C. electrical systems etc

Education & Experience

• Completion of secondary (12 years) technical education followed by recognized mechanical course mandatory
• 4 years' experience in maintenance and repair work on electrical systems
