Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of NETA standards, as well as IEEE and NEMA specifications related to low- and medium-voltage switchgear
• Solid understanding of switchgear systems, including protective relays and control systems, with the ability to support operation, maintenance, and testing activities
• Hands-on experience with low- and medium-voltage switchgear, including teardown, inspection, repair, reassembly, and functional testing
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in both shop and field environments
• Experience training or mentoring team members on troubleshooting, repair, and testing of power distribution equipment

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be able to pass a medical examination
• Physically capable of safely performing job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and working at heights
• Ability to pass a background screening
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education such as vocational training, technical school (e.g., substation maintenance, relay testing), or a college degree is preferred
• NETA or NICET Level II (or higher) certification in Electrical Power Testing is required
• Experience in both field testing/troubleshooting and in-shop circuit breaker overhaul work is essential
• Prior experience in the power distribution industry strongly preferred

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or vocational education is a plus
