Job Title: Field Operator

Working Location: Dubai

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all plant and equipment under control are operated safely and efficiently.
- Promptly and efficiently carry out all instructions given.
- Record routine parameter readings regularly and report any deviations.
- Inform Supervisor or Control Room of any abnormalities or problems with equipment.
- Ensure standby equipment is available for service in emergencies.
- Assist with routine testing or re-commissioning of plant after maintenance outages.
- Adopt safe working practices to ensure personal and plant safety.
- Identify hazards and actively participate in the reporting system.
- Maintain good standards of housekeeping.
- Be fully conversant with all emergency procedures related to assigned equipment.
- Carry out on-the-job training.
- Strive to achieve increased competency.

Additional responsibilities at certain sites:
- For Operator Turbine & Boiler and Assistant Operator roles, responsibilities focus on Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, associated plant equipment, and related utilities.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Higher Secondary School Certificate.

Minimum Experience:
- 4 years in a power station.
- 2 years' experience as Desalination Operator or equivalent experience in a similar industry.

Skills:
- Achieved competencies in all areas except DCR operation.
- English language skills sufficient to prepare and complete shift reports (Intermediate 3 or equivalent).
- Communication skills.
- Basic numeracy (concentration, percentage, unit conversion, rate calculations).
- Ability to understand single line diagrams.
- IT skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Planning and organising skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork skills.
