The Research Technician/Technologist is responsible for performing all technical duties in one of the functional areas of Electronic, Mechanical, CAD or Software to develop product and research solutions.

• Support the qualification and commercialization of products and research.
• Participate in the development of new technologies and low-cost innovations that maintain Schlumberger's technical leadership position.
• Develop and conduct tests, measurements and procedures, and generate designs and programs at various levels of complexity.
• Conduct troubleshooting to diagnose product, process, design or program defects and repair them.
• Exercise judgment to recognize and handle nonstandard occurrences and problems.
• Coordinate and communicate work efforts within Engineering, and with related company organizations and vendors.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Direct or assign the work of other technicians as required.
• Participate in recruiting.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 12+ years of experience in testing and assembling BOP
