JOB PURPOSE :

Perform hands‑on mechanical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of static equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of ADNOC Offshore facilities. Support shutdowns, commissioning, and startup activities, including documentation review and work package handover. Act as a senior technical resource for static equipment maintenance, demonstrating strong safety commitment, technical competency, and mentoring of junior technicians.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

JOB‑SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

A. Static Equipment Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on static equipment including vessels, tanks, columns, exchangers, and piping.
  • Carry out internal/external inspections, gasket replacement, bolt tightening, leak repair, flange management, nozzle replacement, and associated fit‑ups.
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble, and test equipment such as air coolers, strainers, filters, receivers, and pig traps.

B. Inspection, Integrity & Confined Space Activities
  • Support preparation and execution of integrity inspections, thickness checks, and anomaly investigations.
  • Participate in confined space entry operations for internal inspections of vessels and columns during shutdowns.
  • Report corrosion, deformation, cracks, or abnormalities and assist engineers in integrity evaluation.

C. Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
  • Diagnose failures in static equipment systems, identify root causes, and perform corrective actions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues involving valves, piping, utility packages, and structural attachments.
  • Provide recommendations for improving reliability and preventing recurrence.

D. Support to Commissioning, Startup & Project Handover
  • Participate in commissioning and startup of new static equipment and utility systems.
  • Review project documentation, drawings, vendor manuals, and ensure compliance before handover.
  • Complete required punch lists, ensure equipment readiness, and support safe energization.

E. Predictive & Preventive Maintenance Execution
  • Perform routine checks such as temperature readings, leak detection, vibration checks (basic), lubrication, and structural inspections.
  • Execute PM tasks as per MAXIMO schedules and provide improvement feedback to planners.
  • Conduct hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, and package pressure testing under supervision.

F. Materials, Tools & Equipment Management
  • Identify required spares, materials, gaskets, and consumables for maintenance.
  • Ensure proper handling, preservation, and storage of static components.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, lifting devices, and request replacements when necessary.

G. Documentation, Reporting & CMMS
  • Update and close work orders in CMMS (MAXIMO).
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, PM tasks, material usage, and work permits.
  • Provide daily activity reports and inputs for reliability dashboards.

H. Knowledge Sharing & Team Support
  • Mentor junior technicians, especially in safety, static equipment handling, and inspection practices.
  • Demonstrate and enforce proper mechanical maintenance techniques.

GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

A. Policies, Systems & Procedures
  • Follow ADNOC COPs, HSEMS elements, mechanical maintenance procedures, and PTW systems.

B. HSE & Sustainability
  • Ensure full compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements, PPE, and hazard identification.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, emergency response drills, and near‑miss reporting.
  • Maintain safe work areas and proper housekeeping.

C. Time & Resource Management
  • Complete tasks within allocated time and report delays or resource needs to the Supervisor.
  • Coordinate with other trades during multidiscipline jobs.

D. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in static equipment maintenance.
  • Support initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency.

E. Tool & Equipment Care
  • Maintain tools in good working condition and organize equipment storage areas.

F. Reporting
  • Provide technical inputs for management reports, progress updates, and inspection summaries.

Generic ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Follow all ADNOC maintenance policies, procedures, COPs, and HSEMS controls.
  • Ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO, confined space entry, SIMOPS, and other safety systems.

B. Safety & Sustainability
  • Maintain strong commitment to HSE in all rotating equipment operations.
  • Identify hazards during maintenance and take corrective action immediately.
  • Participate in drills, emergency response roles, and toolbox talks.
  • Report unsafe conditions, near‑misses, and equipment abnormalities promptly.

C. Tool Management
  • Ensure all tools, PPE, and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
  • Report defects and arrange for timely repairs or replacements.

D. Time & Work Management
  • Complete assigned work within planned timeframes and escalate issues that may delay execution.
  • Coordinate with supervisor for additional resources when required.

E. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing rotating maintenance tasks and system improvements.
  • Support improvement initiatives related to reliability, safety, and performance.

F. Housekeeping
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment before, during, and after job execution.

G. Reporting
  • Provide technical information for maintenance progress reports, KPI tracking, and rotating equipment performance summaries.


COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal
  • Mechanical Supervisors (Static & Rotating), Operations Technicians, HSE, Integrity (FI/BU), Planning, and Reliability teams.
  • Frequent interaction with shutdown teams, commissioning teams, and control room personnel.

External
  • Interaction with contractors, vendors, inspectors, and OEM representatives for maintenance, repair, and integrity tasks


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of mechanical maintenance experience, covering both static and rotating equipment.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas operating facilities, shutdowns, and integrity activities.

Professional Certifications
  • NA

Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of static equipment maintenance, inspection, flange management, and pressure‑retaining systems.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.
  • Understanding of predictive maintenance methods (basic vibration checks, thermography, leak detection).
  • Experience with CMMS (preferably MAXIMO).
  • Competence in safe work practices, hazard identification, LOTO, and confined space entry.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written & spoken).
