This position supports the Army Prepositioned Stocks - 4 (APS-4) Program located at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. The IPDS Technician will comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local safety policies, and KBR's Zero Harm program.
Job Summary
The IPDS Technician provides Care of Stock in Storage (COSIS) based preventive maintenance and repair services under configuration compliance IAW IPDS design and equipment standards established by TACOM (Tank Automotive Command) Life Cycle Management Command. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, 5-mile Pipeline Sets, Fuel Unit Support Assemblies, Pipeline Connecting Assemblies, Pipeline Pump Stations, Pipeline Support Equipment, Pipeline Critical Gap Crossings, and Pipeline Suspension Equipment stored in 20' ISO shipping containers.
The IPDS Technician is responsible for tracking and verifying the overall accountability, maintenance, readiness, configuration, supply, storage, and reporting of IPDS; reports status in the format prescribed by the Government; performs all tasks necessary to safely, efficiently, and effectively schedule and maintain the status of maintenance, inspections, and other IPDS COSIS actions to include upgrades, modifications, conversions, SOUMs, MAMs, and MWOs; performs IPDS configuration management per TACOM War Reserve guidance; provides detailed classified and unclassified analysis of the status of IPDS components and the entire IPDS set, to include writing Information Papers and updating the AFSBn-NEA Readiness Report; serves as the primary point of contact for AFSBn-NEA on IPDS-related issues; and performs other duties as assigned.

- Track and verify overall accountability, maintenance, readiness, configuration, supply, storage, and reporting of IPDS assets; report status in the format prescribed by the Government.
- Schedule and maintain the status of IPDS maintenance, inspections, and COSIS actions to include upgrades, modifications, conversions, SOUMs, MAMs, and MWOs.
- Perform IPDS configuration management per TACOM War Reserve guidance and ensure compliance with IPDS design and equipment standards established by TACOM Life Cycle Management Command
- Provide detailed classified and unclassified analysis of the status of IPDS components and the entire IPDS set; write Information Papers and update the AFSBn-NEA Readiness Report.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AFSBn-NEA on all IPDS-related issues.
- Provide logistical support to major and secondary managers and supervisors at Camp Humphreys, South Korea.
- Attend planning sessions; develop and organize logistics program data and information into project papers, reports, briefings, and studies; perform analysis to improve IPDS processes.
- Work closely with management, supervisors, and mechanics to improve the quality process for IPDS.
- Perform inspections on completed IPDS maintenance and supply actions.
- Comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local safety policies, and KBR's Zero Harm program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport.
- Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.
- Ability to obtain US EXPAT Invited Contractor Status and SOFA Visa IAW USFK 700-19.
- Favorable adjudication of an NACI background check.
- High School diploma or GED plus three years of directly related work experience.
- In lieu of formal coursework, a combination of college credits, on-the-job training, other formalized training, or experience may be considered.
- Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, and work orders.
- Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, with heat and humidity.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 35 pounds to shoulder height.
- Required to pass initial and periodic drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Certification from a vocational school or other recognized source such as a military service-related Advanced Individual Training with training in pipeline configuration is preferred.
