Position Mission

Are you passionate about critical power solutions and field technical service?

ABB is looking for a Field Service Technician to join the Electrification division, working with the Critical Power, UPS and battery bank portfolio in Brazil.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing field service activities, ensuring customer satisfaction with quality, safety, and on-time delivery. Your focus will be on building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities to improve their operations, and contributing to the growth of ABB's service business.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field service activities as per customer order and expectations, ensuring on-time and quality delivery.
• Identify technical issues and perform analysis through remote or on-site activity in certified service categories and products.
• Prepare material lists needed for service activities, ensuring availability and quality of all items.
• Execute work with a first-time right approach, minimizing rework.
• Work with the customer on-site to identify opportunities to improve operations and eliminate pain points.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process failures, request proactive corrective actions, and recommend preventive measures.
• Prepare all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative.
• Identify new service business opportunities in the field and notify the account team using local practices.
• Report work completed in a timely manner and follow up when needed.

Requirements

• Complete Technical degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Electrotechnical fields.
• Field Service experience in Critical Power.
• Knowledge in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and battery banks.
• Experience in the electrical industry.
• Valid driver's license - Category B.
• Availability for frequent travel.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge in STS (Static Transfer Switches) and PDU (Power Distribution Unit).
• Intermediate or advanced Spanish.
