Your role and responsibilities
ABB is seeking talented Workshop & Repairs Technician looking for a stable, long ‑ term career with a global industry leader.
I n this role, you will have the opportunity to repair a variety of standard drive units and subassemblies. Each day, you will ensure the best possible and most cost-effective problem resolution. You will also showcase your expertise by executing work as per first-time right approach and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Motion Services Drives business in WA and NT. Main stakeholders are our key customers in the region.

This role is contributing to the Motion Services Drives business in WA and NT. Main stakeholders are our key customers in the region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing workshop orders according to workshop processes and guidelines.
- Performing workshop tasks such as troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testing.
- Checking bill of materials and other documents to identify required parts needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available.
- Ensuring the completion, processing, and maintenance of all required documentation.
Qualifications for the role
- Electrical trade qualification with an a Grade A electrician license.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience working as a repair technician.
- Process‑driven mindset with practical experience in 5S and Kaizen methodologies.
- Hands‑on technical ability with confidence in tool use and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, including clear reporting and documentation.
- Current Western Australia forklift license and status as an Australian Permanent Resident or holder of an unrestricted work visa.
