Site Overview:
GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of aviation fleets every day. Established in 1997 as a Center of Excellence for CFM56 engines, GEESM has grown into a key hub of our global operations. It now services commercial aircraft engines, components, and accessories.
In 2018, we reaffirmed our continued commitment to Malaysia with a major US$80 million investment to further develop the Subang facility. This led to technological advancements that cemented GEESM's role as a critical MRO hub for Malaysia's aviation industry. The MRO work on LEAP introduced the next chapter of engineering excellence for GEESM, making it the first such facility outside the United States for GE Aerospace.
Employing more than 700 highly skilled local professionals and providing MRO services to more than 50 airlines worldwide, GEESM continues to exceed our customers' expectations. With our technical expertise and pioneering spirit, we elevate the flying experience to new heights.
Work location: Subang and will be stationed at Sepang in 2027.

Role Overview:
- Perform various non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including but not limited to Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Eddy Current Testing (ECT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), on aircraft engine parts and assemblies.
- Interpret and evaluate NDT results in accordance with applicable GE specifications, technical data, engineering drawings, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Document NDT inspection results accurately and completely, including findings, discrepancies, and repair recommendations.
- Operate and maintain NDT equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve NDT-related issues and improve inspection processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality management system procedures.
- Participate in training and certification programs to maintain and enhance NDT expertise.
- Identify and report any non-conforming conditions or materials.
- Overtime: The role may require working overtime based on operational needs.
- Rotational Shifts: This position operates on a rotational shift basis, which may include morning, evening, and night shifts as per the assigned schedule.
- Weekend Availability: The role requires availability to work on weekends, as part of the rotational schedule or as needed to support business operations.
Required Qualification:
- Diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field or NDT certification from an accredited institution preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an NDT Technician, preferably in the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Certified to ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II in at least two NDT methods (LPT, MPT, ECT, UT).
- Strong understanding of aerospace NDT standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using NDT inspection equipment and related software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to pass a vision acuity examination as required for NDT certification.
