As the Technician, you will be a motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational skills and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. You will have good verbal and written communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and be able to manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines. A degree or HND in Science or Engineering is preferred, while previous laboratory experience, particularly within a metallurgy environment, would be advantageous. Most importantly, you will have a proactive approach, a willingness to learn, and a strong focus on quality and safety.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our metallurgical team on a six-month temporary basis, supporting manufacturing quality control and supplier approval activities. You'll gain hands-on experience preparing and assessing materials and test specimens while working in a collaborative laboratory environment. The role offers exposure to a wide range of metallurgical testing processes, the chance to work alongside experienced technical professionals, and the opportunity to contribute to maintaining the high standards of quality expected by our clients. - Receive, collect items, samples for testing or examination and record in the relevant booking in system.
- Prepare samples and carry out assessments against client specifications.
- Manage personal workloads to ensure KPI turnaround time targets are maintained.
- Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
