DESIGNER - ELECTRICAL

General Description: Moderate experience and developing knowledge in their field of specialty.

• Employees at this level provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.

• Work is performed under moderate supervision.

• Individuals contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and contribute to process improvements.

• Employees frequently use and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and expertise to perform routine & non-routine assignments.

• May give guidance to other drafters/designers

• Create advanced 2D drawings to acceptable drafting standards, utilizing good drafting or modeling practices. Such electrical drawings packages include: Electrical One Line/Block Diagrams, Wiring/Interconnect Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, I/O Lists, Cable Indexes, and Wire Lists.

• Produce/check design layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, bills-of-material & parts lists

• Support new product design, product improvement and product changes.

• Has a moderate understanding of the general/technical specification.

• Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature and require creative problem resolution.

• Perform work-related tasks as assigned
