The Structural Division is currently seeking a Structural Technician to support the growth of the office and the existing team in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

Your Role

As part of the structural team, you will:

• Establish the structural framework based on the engineer's or senior technician's concept;
• Perform complete 3D modeling in Revit of reinforced concrete, steel, or wood structures under the supervision of the engineer or senior technician;
• Participate in the development of structural details;
• Produce drawings and plans;
• Conduct manual or laser scanner surveys of existing buildings and create models;
• Provide technical assistance during construction work;
• Potentially participate in site supervision based on your interests;
• Perform 3D clash detection exercises between various design models;
• Model and fully integrate the BIM process on the BIM360 platform;
• Comply with rules and procedures that ensure employee health and safety and environmental protection, as well as incident prevention. In addition, in a continuous improvement mindset, be proactive in improving health, safety, and environmental procedures to prevent potential hazards related to your work.

About You

• A vocational diploma (DEP) in building drafting, college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering or architecture, or equivalent training and experience;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field;
• Knowledge of Revit software;
• Relevant experience in building and/or industrial structural drafting;
• Experience in a consulting engineering firm (an asset);
• Interest in new 3D technologies and the BIM process.
