JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the health, safety, and direction of internal electricians and electrical contractors. This position will provide electrical support to Dolese Operations and ensure adherence to internal Engineering Electrical and Automation guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Integrity
  • Provide leadership, supervision, technical guidance, and instruction to electrical shop personnel including, but not limited to, assigning repair and maintenance activities
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations for electrical installation specifications
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all contractors to ensure standard procedures and regulations are followed

Safety
  • Maintain and foster a positive safety culture by encouraging every employee to internalize safety as a personal value
  • Ensure all health and safety policies/protocols are followed and operational activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner

Teamwork
  • Develop talent by providing employees with training and development and monitoring performance
  • Partner with Operations Managers to schedule electrical projects
  • Create improved designs and processes for other employees to follow
  • Develop, maintain, and foster positive relationships with contractors and internal customers

Stewardship
  • Manage the design and installation of electrical equipment
  • Ensure equipment is properly handled and maintained
  • Maintain emergency back-ups, assess electrical systems and equipment, and make repairs as necessary
  • Perform installations and maintenance of power distribution systems and electrical systems
  • Design calculations and prepare equipment or material specifications for electrical and electronic based systems
  • Reliable, regular attendance at the worksite or assigned work location
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 4 years of industrial electrical experience required
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven ability to lead others with or without formal reporting authority, with a strong level of confidentiality
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships
  • Have a positive attitude and proactive approach towards our safety program
  • Ability to think critically when resolving issues
  • Ability to perform complex electrical needs
  • Ability to design, install, and troubleshoot transformer stations
  • Knowledge of and ability to work on middle and high voltage systems
  • Willingness to understand and work on all current automated systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend multifaceted electrical wiring schematics
  • Willingness and ability to obtain MSHA electrical certification within 2 years
  • Ability to work seamlessly with various teams at multiple locations
  • Currently possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment
  • Willingness and ability to be on call
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, and weekends as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. of weight occasionally and 50 lbs. of weight frequently
  • Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
  • Ability to use vibration tools repeatedly
  • Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather
  • Ability to repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting
  • Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to verbally communicate, see, and hear
