American Home Contractors seeks a skilled and dependable Solar Electrician to join our renewable energy team. This role is crucial in managing the electrical components of solar installation projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to high-quality standards. Note: This position requires overnight travel. Work locations will vary across MD, VA, WV, PA, DC, DE, and NJ.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all electrical work for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including wiring, installing inverters, and integrating components.
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to verify proper functionality and efficiency.Ensure all work adheres to electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members, project managers, and installers to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals accurately.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate system requirements and address potential challenges.
• Maintain comprehensive records of installations, inspections, and service activities.
• Educate customers on system operations and answer technical questions with clarity.
• Stay current on industry advancements and emerging solar technologies.

Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in electrical work, preferably in solar PV systems or renewable energy projects.
• Electrical Journeyperson's license is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Familiarity with solar components, such as Tesla Solar Roofs, SPAN systems, and Tesla Powerwalls, is a strong plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with tools and software relevant to solar electrical installations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range: $55,000 - $75,000 per year.
