Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing end to end smart metering projects, including planning, design, execution, and completion, to meet strategic objectives, quality standards, and performance targets. The ideal candidate must possess strong knowledge of Smart Meter technologies for both electric and water applications.
Responsibilities:

• Lead overall project management and administration, including project planning, progress tracking, and quality control.
• Communicate daily with KAHRAMAA Engineers and department managers to address issues and recommend solutions.
• Oversee all phases of smart metering projects for electric and water metering, ensuring alignment with KAHRAMAA standards.
• Set targeted KPIs for all work activities in collaboration with KAHRAMAA departments.
• Utilize advanced metering infrastructure technologies and manage similar project implementations effectively.
• Define performance goals annually in consultation with the department manager.
• Identify development needs and ensure necessary training is arranged and attended.
• Stay updated on professional developments and new techniques through continued education.
• Monitor the operational status of advanced metering infrastructure to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Smart Metering Solution field equipment and conduct daily health checks in the Data Center.
• Proactively monitor and repair last mile communication, ensuring effective communication between smart meters and relevant parties.
• Utilize knowledge of GSM, Broadband on Power Line (BPL) Technology, Radio Frequency Technology, and Networking for effective project execution.
• Assist in device parameter configuration and change management.
• Evaluate project sites for optimal solutions and communicate with customers regarding installation processes.
• Respond to emergencies based on information from the advanced metering infrastructure.
• Review contract specifications and scope of work to ensure compliance.
• Prepare annual maintenance schedules and monthly progress reports detailing work activities and customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with KAHRAMAA health and safety regulations.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Smart Meter technologies for electric and water.
• Expertise in advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) project implementation.
• Proven resource planning and management skills across dispersed teams.
• Strong technology integration and systems thinking capabilities.
• Excellent executive level communication and strategic thinking skills.
• Value engineering and continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ISO, Risk Management, and ISMS certification requirements.
• Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology; Master's degree preferred.
• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.
• Experience: 15+ years leading complex infrastructure/technology programs, specifically in utility based project implementation.
• Languages: Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.
