Transformation & Project Lead
North Tyneside Council
This post is fixed term for two years.
Do you want to help deliver one of the Council's most significant transformation programmes? Our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programme is a core part of the Change and Innovation agenda - replacing outdated systems, modernising how we work and supporting more efficient, resilient and integrated services. It goes beyond a technology upgrade; it's a fundamental organisational change that will improve processes, strengthen decision making and enable staff across the Council to work in smarter, better ways. As a Transformation and Project Lead, you'll play a key role in delivering this programme that will shape how Newcastle Council operates in the future.
About the role
As a Transformation & Project Lead, you will lead programme workstream activities. You will define project scope, develop delivery plans, coordinate resources and manage risks across the full project lifecycle. Working across directorates and services, you'll bring teams together, remove barriers and ensure projects within the programme are delivered.
You will provide high-quality analysis, insight and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making, presenting complex information clearly to varied audiences. You'll maintain robust governance, oversee progress against milestones and ensure accurate, timely documentation that supports strong programme governance and assurance.
About you
You will bring strong project management and organisational change expertise, leading transformation, system-replacement and improvement projects in complex settings. As an experienced workshop facilitator, you will scope and prioritise work, map processes, align stakeholders and resolve issues to keep delivery on track. You will use data to monitor performance and drive corrective action, communicate with impact, and produce high-quality written and verbal outputs. You will coordinate people and resources to meet key milestones, foster collaborative working across services, use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint to support effective delivery, and demonstrate a clear commitment to equality, diversity, health, safety and good governance.
