Overview: The Materials Coordinator supports the end‑to‑end flow of parts and materials to ensure operational readiness. This role is responsible for ordering, receiving, tracking, issuing, and expediting materials, and partners closely with warehouse, maintenance, and procurement teams. Strong attention to detail, follow‑through, and communication is essential. Key Responsibilities

- Materials Tracking & Ordering
- Create and update purchase requests/work orders; monitor open orders and backlogs.
- Track delivery dates and proactively expedite materials when needed to meet timelines.
- Receiving, Issuing & Inventory Control
- Receive and inspect incoming parts; verify against packing lists/POs.
- Accurately issue parts to jobs/technicians and record movements in system.
- Maintain organized stock locations and ensure proper labelling and counts.
- Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with vendors, buyers, warehouse, and maintenance to resolve discrepancies.
- Provide regular status updates on critical parts, ETAs, and shortages.
- Support daily warehouse operations as needed (kitting, staging, cycle counts).
- Systems & Reporting
- Update records in ERP (SAP preferred) and spreadsheets; maintain accurate data.
- Produce simple reports (e.g., open orders, critical items, on‑hand vs. reserved).
- 1–3 years in materials coordination, inventory, warehouse, or parts operations.
- Proficient with Excel and basic computer skills (email, shared drives, data entry).
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Experience in a maintenance, industrial, or field services setting
- Familiarity with purchasing, work orders, and kitting/staging.
