Are you passionate about improving antimicrobial use and patient safety across a whole health system? We are seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacy professional to lead key antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) projects across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a system-wide leadership role, delivering high-impact initiatives that improve antimicrobial prescribing, reduce unwarranted variation, and support better patient outcomes. A key focus of the role will be leading a penicillin allergy de-labelling (PADL) programme within GP practices.
Working within the Integrated Care Board (ICB), this secondment offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into commissioning, system leadership and how care is planned and delivered across an integrated care system. It would be particularly valuable for candidates who have primarily worked in provider organisations, such as acute trusts, and are keen to broaden their experience and understanding of how services are designed, commissioned and connected at system level.

Main duties of the job

You will work across organisational boundaries, influencing practice, engaging stakeholders, and turning evidence into meaningful change. This role is ideal for someone with strong clinical or medicines optimisation knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and the drive to lead improvement at scale.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of antimicrobial stewardship projects across the Integrated Care System, ensuring they align with national policy and local priorities. You will manage defined workstreams, coordinate activity across organisations, and ensure delivery against agreed milestones and outcomes.

Here is a summary of some of the benefits and services which are on offer to staff:

NHS pension scheme

Flexible working and family friendly policies

Successful candidates will be subject to a six-month probationary period
